    Pod (Mhasmuth Bhunyaruk) is a country boy who leaves his hometown to work in a big city. His finger is accidentally cut down while working in a canned fish factory. He then quits the job and becomes a security guard for a big company and falls for a girl called Jin (Sangthong Kaitauthong) who is a maid service. Jin has a dream, she wishes to be educated while Pod turns to be a cab driver just to have a car for her. Indeed, Jin never looks at Pod, she is fond of Peter (Chuck Stephens) who later changes her life as she never dreams before.


  • CRYING TIGERS (2005)
    Looking to investigate how the sons and daughters of Isaan are faring in Bangkok, director Santi Taepanich put together this documentary, which according to Kong Rithdee of the Bangkok Post, is the first Thai documentary to recieve a wide commercial release in cinemas.



  • MY GIRL (Fan Chan) (2003) --> DVD | VCD

    Jeab was an effeminate child who always played with Noi-Na when they were small because their houses were close together and there weren't many other kids around. Adolescence changed Jeab's immediate social group and he started hanging around with other boys, and even agreed to torment the other girls -- including Noi-Na -- at his friends' behest. Noi-Na was understandably upset and angry and her family moved to another province a week later. Jeab didn't see her after that, but then one day he received an invitation to Noi-Na's wedding. He wants to attend her special day, of course, but how can he live down the shame of his earlier, irresponsible actions?

  • Jan Dara (2001) --> DVD | VCD
    Based on a Thai novel written in the 1960s, "Jan Dara" should be known for more than just the movie in which Christy Chung bared it all. "Jan Dara," a movie about a young man, whose life was wrecked by his father, returning home seeking revenge. It has been invited to a number of international film festivals.



    A mysterious, obsessive-compulsive, suicidal Japanese man living in Bangkok, Thailand, is thrown together with a Thai woman through a tragic chain of events. The woman is everything he is not. He is a neat freak who keeps his dishes washed and his books neatly stacked and categorized. She dresses like a slob, smokes pot and never picks anything up. It's a match that somehow works, though. Slowly and entertainingly, more is revealed about the Japanese man and why he's suicidal and living in Bangkok.


  • LEGEND OF SURIYOTHAI, The (2001) --> DVD | VCD
    "Suriyothai" is a historical movie depicting the heroism of a queen from the kingdom of Ayothaya who sacrifices her life in battle. Francis Ford Coppola has recently re-edited the film and it was shown in the US and Thailand in 2003 as "The Legend of Suriyothai".



  • LETTER, THE --> DVD | VCD (no english subtitles)

    After reading a letter detailing her grandmother's death, Dew (Ann Thongprasom) went to Chiang Mai where, by chance, she met Ton (Uttaporn Teemakorn), a kind officer at an agricultural research center. Dew started to feel true love for her new acquaintance. They eventually married and began a peaceful life together. Everything was fine until Ton died after a savage illness. Now Dew is alone again, but then something strange happens: she receives a letter -- a love letter -- inscribed in familiar handwriting. It's from Ton.


    More than 100,000 people gather by the Mekong River in Northeast Thailand on November Full Moon each year. After sunset, mysterious fireballs rise up from the river and disappear into the sky. While the locals still adhere to the traditional myth of the dragon, Great Naga, making a sacred offering to Buddha, the Western visitors take a more skeptical stance: Dr. Norati sets out to prove that the fireballs are natural; Dr. Surapol wants to prove the phenomenon a hoax. Meanwhile, temple-custodian Abbot Loh believes his monks have been responsible for the "miracel" for the past 30 years.

    A taxi-driver lives alone in a solitude life, with a radio program as his only friend. His life is getting changing when he meets a masseur and knows the meaning of love. But while he has a new life with a sweet dream, she encounters reality that goes beyond any dreams.

    Phaen is a suburban young man with a great love for music. He never misses a chance to show off his voice at temple fairs in his village. It is at one of the fairs that he meets and falls in love with Sadao. On their wedding day, Phaen gives Sadao a transistor radio that the new family loves, and it also gives Phaen many a daydream of becoming a famous singer himself. Soon, Sadao is pregnant and it is hard for Phaen to leave home, but he has to enter military service. While there, he enters a singing contest, and winds up first runner-up. So he decides to leave the service and heads for Bangkok to follow his dream. He spends to years in a band that never goes anywhere, and eventually is forced to work in a sugarcane plantation. But a fight causes him to lose his job. As things go from bad to worse, he recalls his transistor radio with fondness, for it evokes in his mind much better and more peaceful times, when dreams were still possible.

    A young Buddhist monk once day learns that his elder sister has been killed in a bomb blast during a back home train journey in Southern Thailand. As a young man who knows nothing about the secular world, Tham has to travel to Baytong to take care of his little niece. Nonzee's story thus touches one of the most commonly felt concerned issue in contemporary world: how to keep the survived family members going steady after terrorist attacks? But in Nonzee's case, OK Baytong hides an additional theme: the coming topsy-turvy life transformation of a monk in secular Thai society.


  • Ong-Bak (2003)

    A sacred Buddha statuette called Ong Bak is stolen from a rural village and it soon becomes the task of a young man, Boonting (Phanom Yeeram), to track the thief down to Bangkok and reclaim the religious treasure. Along the way, Boonting must use his astounding athleticism and traditional Muay Thai skills to combat his adversaries.

    Siam, 1986, and Som's brother, a famous xylophonist, is killed by a competitor, leaving Sorn to take over. After asking his dad to take him to Bangkok to prove his skill, Khun In proved the most adept competitor and Sorn returned home to practice. Presently, he pioneered a unique style and became a musician of the royal palace, marrying Shote, his dream girl and a fellow palace staffer, and finally besting Khun In in a xylophone contest. Som eventually became an important teacher, who promoted traditional Thai music at a time when the traditional culture of developing Thailand was under threat of being subsumed by the influx of European influences.   • SIAM RENAISSANCE, The (2004) --> DVD | VCD
    Romance / Fantasy
    Maneejan (Florence Vanida) is a Paris-based archive specialist. A mysterious French work is brought to her for interpretation at the Thai consulate in Paris. She realizes the document is Voyageur, written by French naturalist Francois Xavier about Siam in the mid 19th century. Maneejan is moved by the record's allusions to Siam's shadowy past. When she returns to Thailand, she finds herself in a half-dream state, witnessing and experiencing her home country as it was more than a century ago, Siam as it struggled to defy outside influences to become a new civilization. Maneejan learns much about her country's history, becomes a fighter alongside her cultural ancestors, and finds valuable lessons in life and love along the way.

    In the countryside of Thailand, a gang of outlaws makes the region unsafe. Among them is the handsome gun hero Dum, who became unwillingly involved in the bandit life. Handsome Dum made a promise to his upper-crust lover Rumpoey: despite the class difference, they will get married. When the moment of reunion arrives, Dum gets involved in a fire fight and cannot possibly reach Rumpoey in time. She is desperate: her father has married her off to a policeman. The taciturn Dum, called the 'Black Tiger' by his co-conspirators, has however not forgotten Rumpoey. He does everything in his power to reach her, but fate gets in the way: his gang leader suspects him of treachery and his blood brother turns into his greatest enemy. Will the two lovers ever meet up? This urgent question propels the melodrama forward, supported by exciting music, spectacular shootouts and heroic duels.


  • Tom Yum Goong (2005)

    The story of a young man named Kham (Tony Jaa) whose life is turned upside down when an international mafia syndicate, based in Australia, captures his two beloved elephants and smuggles them thousands of kilometers away to Sydney . The two elephants are far more than mere animals to Kham and his father. They are part of his family and were being prepared to be presented as a token of devotion to his Majesty the King of Thailand. The only way Kham can possibly save the animals is by venturing into a foreign land for the first time.


  • TROPICAL MALADY (2005) --> DVD | VCD
    Keng (Banlop Lomnoi) is a soldier who has been assigned duty as a forest ranger in the woodlands of the country. While on duty, he meets a young man named Tong (Sakda Kaewbuadee) ; Keng becomes deeply infatuated with Tong, but while Tong is friendly with Keng, he is obviously unwilling to respond to his romantic overtures. As Keng deals with his disappointment, he learns that a number of animals and villagers have fallen victim to a vicious predator who may be a tiger or a shape-shifting shaman. Keng gathers his courage and begins tracking the beast, which alternately resembles a jungle cat and his friend Tong.


  • YAM YASOTHON (2005) --> VCD

    Rural love story in 1967! Yaem tries everyway to get away from Joei who is crushed on him as he thinks himself 'handsome'. Something happens in a night before Joei is sent by her parents to Bangkok. Yaem realizes his heart is changing.
